Julez
has been mixing since 2000
after being inspired by
nights like Cheeky Little
Monkeys (R.I.P), Slinkys
in Bournemouth, and Lakota
and RipSnorter in Bristol.
Atfer
moving to London in 2002
to become more involved
in the scene, she was
offered a set at Homegrown
(now R.I.P) in October
2003 - a night run purely
for up and coming DJ's
to get their first taste
of playing to a crowd.
She was offered a second
set in the November and
invited back for their
New Years Bash! From there
Julez joined Affinity,
an up and coming party
running monthly in London.
It was here that Julez
found her real passion
- Hard House and NRG,
and subsequently began
developing her sets and
style in this direction.
In July
'04 she entered the Harderfaster
DJ Competition at Turnmills,
judged by Will Patterson
from Frantic, The Ting
from Party Proactive and
Stevie from Knowwhere
and won - making her the
first ever winner of the
now coveted Competition.
Since winning this competition
Julez has played for Frantic's
harder night Covergence
- warming up for Lisa
Lashes, she has also won
the Rush 'Search For DJ'
Competition and is in
the finals for the Lisa
Lashes Dot Com Competition.
Her biggest gig this year
was for the legendary
Hard House Academy, where
she made her debut in
the 'I Love the Hoover'
Foyer - the hard as nails
room at Brixton!
2005
sees Julez begin her residency
Bristol for Kinetic, playing
alongside some of the
UK's finest Hard House
and Hard Trance DJ's!
